It has been quite an eventful year and we have enjoyed singing at very different venues.  We are settled with Stephen Lawry as our Musical Director and going from strength to strength. The choir has nine new members and it is good to see younger faces joining, we would like to see anyone else who would enjoy singing with us. Please contact Mrs. Sue Howells, Sec. 01736 360618.
We have a good selection of music from the more traditional to songs from the shows.  In the summer we were priviledged to sing in the Church on St. Michael's Mount and on the green.   Our Accompanist is Jill Abbott, a very accomplished and  well known musician.  We are also fortunate in having a deputy Accompanist, Bridget England, who is always ready to help when needed. We also have Kevin Lane, our previous M.D. as deputy director, it is good to have such able back up.

Our tour this year to the Isle of Wight, in June was unfortunately cancelled due to lack of suitable accommodation but we have already confirmed a visit to them in April 2012.  We are rehearsing new material  as well as some of the old favourites  for singing this year.

We feel that the choir is doing well with the addition of several new members, and more engagements have been fulfilled than last year. Various charities have been helped with fund raising from concerts and the choir is always willing to help others when they can, please contact our Secretary for available booking dates

The choir decided, that with the ever increasing number of singers, whose ages range from 25 onwards, we needed to have a new uniform.  It was decided that scarves would be more practical and these were duely bought.  There are four different colours and present a newer, modern appearence, we also have new fleeces for  when we go away on tour and sing outside.
Our year has been progressing with yet more new members and we now have 47 singers in the choir.   We had  beautiful weather for our trip singing on the Mount and saw lots of visitors.  Once again we were invited to sing at the Newlyn Fish Festival, and have been asked to sing at several weddings. .
Our trip to Worcester on October 28th 2011 was very sucessful, singing with Worcester Male Voice Choir in the Church of St. John-in-Bedwardine on the 29th, to capacity audiences, and at the Methodist Chapel of St Andrews on the Sunday morning.  We enjoyed a very warm welcome from the choir and the people of worcester also their hospitality after the concerts.  We look forward to singing with them again on May 5th 2012 at Carbis Bay Chapel.
